Oral Health Recommendations

1. We recommend that you change your toothbrush every 6 months.
2. We advise the use of non alcoholic mouth rinse. If you use a fluoride mouth rinse use a neutral sodium fluoride one.
3. Regular cleaning and flossing are essential in the long term management of your Cosmetic Restorations.
4. We suggest a common sense approach to eating. Avoid healthy pigmented food such as Berries which have a propensity to stain teeth.
5. Coffee and tea are notorious stain- producers while soft drinks can be laden with sugar and may contribute to recurrent staining.
6. Avoid habits such as biting fingernails, pencils etc all of which can damage or dislodge restorations.
7. There is no doubt that smoking is highly deleterious to both teeth and restorations contributing to a significant amount of stain accumulation.
